Creating a Unique Coffee Shop Experience in Taipei City

The interior of Come True Coffee Shop is a sight to behold. The ceiling, composed of golden light strips and blue mesh panels with interlaced triangles, resembles a flock of birds soaring in the blue sky. The light filters through the mesh, creating a scattered pattern of dots that infuse the space with a cozy and romantic ambiance.

What sets Come True Coffee Shop apart is its dedication to providing a unique coffee experience. The dining space is intentionally non-conventional, allowing customers to find their perfect corner in the bustling Taipei street. Whether you prefer a simple bench seat or a standing table, this coffee shop offers a space where you can freely communicate or focus on savoring your coffee.

The lighting design of Come True Coffee Shop adds to its charm. The scattered dots of light resemble leaves, presenting a natural flavor with a modern twist. The interior features a combination of gold and dark tones, exuding understated luxury and creating a high-end boutique atmosphere. The ring-shaped light strip, together with the blue mesh panels and intertwined triangular surfaces on the ceiling, evokes the image of the African grassland at sunset, bathed in golden brilliance.

With a floor area of 50.5 square meters on the ground floor, Come True Coffee Shop offers a compact yet inviting space for coffee enthusiasts. The design team, led by Cheng Hui Hsin and Lin Wan Ju, has meticulously crafted every aspect of the coffee shop to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for customers.

At Come True Coffee Shop, the interaction between customers and the space is paramount. The facade and modeling bar table feature flowing lines that form a C-shaped arc, symbolizing the essence of Come True. This design element enhances the interaction between customers and the coffee shop, showcasing the brand's spirit and image.

The project to create Come True Coffee Shop began in October 2019 and was completed in November 2019 in Taipei City, Taiwan. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted to align the space with the brand's philosophy. Come True Coffee Shop is a social enterprise that donates 50% of its profits to the "African Clean Water Project" in collaboration with World Vision. The baristas personally source coffee beans from Africa, bringing the rich flavors of the continent to the people of Taipei.

Overcoming the challenge of setting up a takeaway coffee shop in the bustling streets of Taipei, the designers successfully integrated African elements into the fashionable business district atmosphere. Through abstract representations and geometric shapes, the African elements harmoniously blend with the space design, creating a unique and inviting ambiance.

Come True Coffee Shop offers customers an exclusive space to focus on their senses and enjoy the beauty of every cup of coffee. It is a testament to the passion and creativity of Hui Hsin Cheng and the design team, who have created a coffee shop that not only serves exceptional coffee but also contributes to making the world a better place.
